Meet William (Bill) Bobrick
Biography
William (Bill) Bobrick is a mature, responsible individual who has dedicated his life to helping others and trying to make the world a better place.
Bill’s father (Bill Sr.) was in construction management, building refineries and petrochemical plants all over the world, while Bill’s mother was in charge of getting the family moved from country to country, the children enrolled in school, housing bought and sold, everything necessary to move a family of six with the least disruptions possible.
Both Bill Sr. and his mother Helen grew up dirt poor in the Great Depression, and instilled in their children the value of hard work, perseverance, and helping others.
Bill Bobrick was lucky to have such wonderful role models, his parents made a great team, his mother an example of a self-reliant, nurturing mother who moved their family from country to country, his father a hard-working self-made man, who managed billion-dollar construction projects and thousands of employees.
Growing up in Australia, Brazil, and the US Virgin Islands, Bill Bobrick observed grinding poverty, racial inequality, the best and worst in humanity, and resolved at a young age to work toward the betterment of others. These experiences instilled in him an appreciation for the opportunities he has been given, a love of country, and the need to give back.
Due to his travels, Bill speaks English, Spanish and Portuguese in descending order of fluency, and is currently improving his Spanish through continuing education.
Bill graduated from High School from a college preparatory school, The Good Hope School, on St. Croix, US Virgin Islands, (graduating a year early by skipping his senior year) and went on to attend Whittier College, in Whittier California, and Windham College, in Putney Vermont, with a double major of Geology and Environmental Sciences.
